Busta Rhymes Paints Beautiful Imagery With Creative Visuals For ‘Deep Thought’
Busta Rhymes’ latest video is a masterclass in storytelling and creative visual concepts
Busta Rhymes is back with a new music video for ‘Deep Thought’, his latest single from Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God, which was Busta Rhymes' first official studio album released in 2020, 11 years after his previously released album in 2009.
The video is a chilled one set in New York and the song is all about Busta reflecting on his career and his family, with reference to his father that passed away as well as his manager Chris Lighty which both hurt him deeply.
In Busta’s own words on the song:
“Losing Chris Lighty and then losin’ my father/I’m bittersweet, so I promised my momma I’mma become a martyr,”
It goes without saying that when it comes to hip-hop, Busta Rhymes will always go down as a legend and songs like this only serve to reinforce that point. Razor-sharp flows, vocal projection, and descriptive lyrics being a staple of Busta and a marker of his timeless appeal in the music culture.
The creative visuals for this video make it clear that he still wants to raise the bar high and keep the audience thinking with deep concepts and beautiful storytelling. This is most certainly music for the soul.
